Kewra Oil is obtained from steam distillation of flowers of kewra plant that is botanically named as Pandanus Odoratissimus. Pandanus Odoratissimus belongs to the family of Pandanaceae. It is a densely branched shrub, rarely erect. It is commonly found along the seashore of India.

Kewra finds extensive use in manufacturing of various perfumery products owing to its attractive fragrance. Kewra oil has the aroma resembling that of rose flowers. The oil originated in India and has light yellow to brown color. Kewra attar blends well with the Ylang Ylang oil.
